>A couple of weeks ago I mentioned the Zune Canada Concert Series competition and what a great opportunity for Canadian bands this contest was!

Well it turns out that after a month long search to find Canada’s hottest undiscovered band, a panel of music industry judges have chosen the B.C. band who hail from Vancouver and FraserValley, The British Columbians, as winners of the Zune Canada Concert Series competition.

Luckily the contest wasn’t for “most original names”. It would be like if I named my group the Short, Bald and Lonely Band, actually gives me an idea…..

The band will perform on the Main Stage of the Zune Concert Series on Saturday, April 25 at 2:30 p.m. The concert series is Canada’s biggest free outdoor music festival taking place April 17-26 during the 2009 TELUS World Ski and Snowboard Festival.

You can check out the The British Columbians winning song here.

Congrats! Keep checking back as I’ll always try to post as many of these kinds of concerts as possible. Keep making and BUYING canadian music!
