Ohhhhhhh we are so close to Wipeout Canada finally on TV, I can almost taste the  big red balls in my mouth…..wait. That’s not what I meant.

The production company behind the first edition of the extreme obstacle course just released the names and profiles of all contestants.  At a quick glance, it looks like the field of Wipeout-ers is appropriately divided across the country.  I was actually a judge for the Alberta auditions and I remember the producer saying he could have cast the entire show based on our contestants alone.

Production on the show starts on October 9th in Argentina.  Yes, Argentina. They actually have an international set down south and countries from all over the world use it to film the show, the only ones that don’t aren’t the Americans. Anyone surprised?

In all 260 Canadians will be doing whatever it takes to win the $50,000.  Personally, I can’t wait to see them fail.  I mean, isn’t that what Wipeout is all about?

I’ll be profiling some lucky Canucks that will be giving the obstacle course a go as we get closer to airdate but for now, check out some of these staggering numbers:
