>Sunday night was a historic night for Canada. I, along with the rest of the country, watched Alexandre Bilodeau win Canada’s first Gold medal on home soil.
It will definitely be one of those “do you remember where you were” moments. And thanks to technology we can always be reminded of this momentous occasion for the Canadian athletics!
On Sunday night, some friends and I had gathered at German House in Vancouver to watch the mogul finals on the big screens. And if you are going to celebrate Canada, why not do it shoulder to should with the Germans.
Having a really good gut feeling about Bilodeau’s run, I decided to tape the entire thing. The energy in the giant tent was amazing and I’m so ecstatic that I was able to capture it on video. That way, when I’m old and grey, I’ll always be remember.
Check out the video below, the noise is so impressive, you’ll have a hard time believing there are only 400 people gathered in the tent.
The video is of the entire run and the moment that Bilodeau has grabbed the number one spot. That is when the crowd really goes nuts!
Enjoy!
Go Canada Go!
