Trailers for Fargo (shot in Calgary) and The Revenant (shot in Canmore) are out!

It’s been a great week for Alberta’s film industry, as two of their big productions released amazing trailers.

First was the trailer for the second season of Fargo, which stars Ted Danson, Patrick Wilson, Jean Smart, Kirsten Dunst and Jesse Plemons, Nick Offerman, Brad Garrett, and Kieran Culkin.

Both seasons of the Emmy and Golden Globe winning series were shot in Calgary. It’s cast caused quite a stir over the past couple of months as they made appearances all over the city.

The week’s second trailer was for the feature film The Revenant, which stars Leonardo Dicaprio and Tom Hardy. Also shot earlier this year in the rockies behind the town of Canmore.
 

A few months ago, I actually spotted the set on the first day of filming…but didn’t see any stars.
