The following conversation is an actual conversation between myself and my Tivo.
Tivo: Hey Mike
Me: Oh hey, Tivo how is it going?
Tivo:Pretty good. I’m just getting ready for the fall season.
Me: Oh yah! Me too! Did you watch The Biggest Loser last week? So good!
Tivo:I watch what you watch Mike, I watch what you watch.
Me: Cool.
Tivo:Anyway, I wanted to talk to you about something.
Me: Shoot.
Tivo:It’s Nashville. I recorded last Friday and I was wondering if you wanted to watch it or not.
Me: Nashville? You’ll have to remind me…..
Tivo:You should remember, you taped it.
Me: I did? Why would I do that.
Tivo:Because it is about aspiring country singers in Nashville. It was on Fox last week.
Me: Really, why would I want to watch that?
Tivo: Because it’s by the same people that did Laguna Beach and The Hills!
Me: Oh! I love the Hills!
Tivo: (sighs)I know, you still make me tape repeats.
Me: I do? Man I need some friends.
Tivo:That is for another time. Anyway, do you want to watch it or not.
Me: I don’t know, it got pretty shitty ratings.
Tivo:Lowest of all the main networks. And the rest were even showing repeats.
Me: Hmmm…..
Tivo:So what do you want me to do?
Me: Um. Well a new The Hills is on in an hour. Do I have time to watch it now?
Tivo:That’s what the FFWD button is for.
Me: Well, OK. I’ll give it a shot.
Tivo:Cool, oh just so you know you still have the last two Veronica Mars too.
Me: Oh I know, I’m just not ready to say goodbye yet.
Tivo:Seriously, get some friends.

And so I did. What did I think? Well I’m glad you asked in your mind in a way that I predict what you were going to think so I was able to write about. I thought it was OK. Not the best, but if I am ever home alone on a Friday night (when am I not?) I’ll probably watch it. The only thing funny is that it looks like they are going to try to make Mika the bad girl, which I am not too sure how will that work out, seeing as how she is the best “character”. (***cough***Kristen Cavalari***cough***)
