Timeraiser Contest: Win Two Return Westjet Tickets! (Closed)

Haaaaaave you heard of Timeraiser?

If not, well I’m honoured to be the one to tell you about this amazing initiative.  Timeraiser is part volunteer fair, part silent art auction and part night on the town.  Essentially, you know how you can never afford anything at silent auctions because they get ridiculously expensive incredibly fast?  Well Timeraiser allows you to donate time, instead of money.  It’s genius.

Here’s what you need to know:

• Calgary’s Timeraiser will be taking place on Thursday, June 16th. (Other cities are doing it too!)
• Come down to Flames Central and meet and then choose your favourite agencies that are looking for volunteers.
• Once you’ve found one, you can bid on some beautiful art using your eventual volunteer hours.
• Then throughout the next year, you use your volunteer hours as currency to win the art!

The agency wins because they got to work with brilliant people like you!
You win because you made a difference in your city AND you got some pretty sweet art to prove it!

Now to the really cool part: To celebrate this amazing initiative, I’m so excited to announce that Mike’s Bloggity Blog with Timeraiser and WestJet are teaming up to give away my biggest prize ever!

The Prize: One  return trip for two people from any scheduled WestJet departure point in Canada to any scheduled WestJet destination!  Yes, two return tickets to anywhere that WestJet flies!  I’ll give you a moment.  That’s a potential value of $4,604, depending on destination chosen and time of booking from originating city!

To Enter: visit the Timeraiser website.  Click on the Agencies link and take a look around and visit some of the great organizations that Timeraiser is helping.  Then come on back to the blog and leave a comment, telling me which agency you would like to (hypothetically) volunteer at and why.  The great folks from Timeraiser and I will pick ten of our favourite answers and then we’ll  do a random draw.  Since we’re choosing the best answers, be creative!! Make it a poem, or maybe talk about how one of these organizations has been involved in your life.

Submit your entry between June 6th 2011 on or about 9am (MNT) and June 11th, 9:00PM (MST).  I’ll announce the Top Ten on Monday, June 13th and then the winner on June 15th.
