Batman vs. Superman.
Captain America vs. Iron Man.
Me vs. my backyard.
These are the some of the biggest battles that will define 2016, but unlike the movies, I hope mine against the backyard doesn’t have a sequel.
This summer, I’m teaming up with Scotts to tackle the weedy jungle that has become my backyard. How did it get so weedy? Oh, probably because in my younger days, lawn care wasn’t something I thought was important. But now that I’m getting a bit older (just a bit), and some might say wiser, and I see how nice my neighbours’ lawns are and how much pride they take in their backyards, and I want to be the same. In this case, the grass is literally greener on the other side, but not for long!
For as long as I can remember, my parents have been passionate about their yard and gardens, so I’m excited to see if I’m meant to follow in their footsteps. But where my family has years of experience in the backyard, I, however, will be starting from scratch. So I’m going to be depending on my friends from Scotts to help me prep my backyard for the ultimate backyard party!
I had a great chat with the experts at Scotts and they said that my best course of action to get a wonderful, weed-free lawn would be with the help of Scotts EcoSense® Weed B Gon® Lawn Weed Control., which comes with a unique battery powered wand applicator that provides easy handling and comfort. According to them, I’ll see results in hours and it’s able to tackle dandelions, English daisies and more without harming the grass. Seems easy enough!
If you’re like me, and you’re looking to take control over your green space, no matter how big or small. I encourage you to follow along my journey to getting a much nicer lawn this summer!
Take a moment to share some of the weeds you’re hoping to tackle in your yard this summer and share your photos by tagging me and Scotts using the hashtag, #ScottsWeedBGon.
I have nine $5 off coupons for Weed B Gon, I’ll be picking the winners from the entries on Twitter.
It’s me vs. my lawn and we’re calling the #ScottsWeedBGon challenge. I’ll be posting progress reports and tips and tricks as we go along! And I’ll be hosting my backyard party in no time!
Of course, now I have to figure out how to turn on my BBQ, but that’s for another day.
