There a lot of bad news out there these days, and one of the shows that seems to make us feel better, even if only for 42 minutes is the NBC hit This Is Us.  Ever since the show premiered last fall, it became one of the biggest TV hits that we’ve seen in a long time.  And soon, Canadians will be able to re-live the first season, or watch it for the first time on Netflix Canada.

The streaming service announced that the hit show that stars Mandy Moore and Milo Ventimiglia, will be available on September 20th. That gives you five days to watch the first season before season 2 premieres.

If you’ve never seen the show, well you’re in for a treat. Grab a Costco-sized box of Kleenex and enjoy. But do yourself a favour and don’t look up what the show is about. There’s a big surprise in the first episode and it’s way better if you don’t know about it.

When the trailer for the first season premiered, it shattered streaming records for a new show. Topping out at around 80 million views. For comparison, Star Wars: The Force Awakens had about 15 million for a movie.

Some other shows coming to Netflix in September that have me pretty excited are The Good Place, the Kristen Bell/Ted Danson show I never got around to watching, but I’ve only heard good things. Planet Earth 2 (September 26th), which is just so beautiful, I’m excited to watch it over and over again.

  1. So excited – thanks for the info! I had the whole season in my pvr, but did not get around to finishing it and had to let it go for GOT. Now I can go catch up – it was excellent
