Two words for you: Mulroney and Opera.
For better or worse, that probably got your attention. This Sunday a very special production of Mulroney The Opera will be taking place in movie theatres across Canada and quite frankly, I couldn’t be more intrigued. Mostly because the synopsis of this project alone, is almost as exciting as the Halifax-filmed Hobo with a Shotgun. Hey, I said almost.
The film covers many of the high and lows (depending on who you ask) of the former Prime Minister’s illustrious career but thanks to a Glee-friendly world, we’re treated to a biography of musical proportions! The cast features the likes of Rick Miller, Stephanie Ann Miller, Colin Mocherie and Michael Murphy. A music with nary a Canadian Idol alumni in sight. Now I’m really interested.
Interestingly enough, the movie will be making an exclusive showing in movie theatres across Canada on Saturday, with select encores on April 27th.
