Things that made my weekend:
Slumdog Millionaire: Yes, it is as good as you have heard it is. This movie will be the movie that I compare all other movies too. Also, let it be known that whenever I think something is perfect, I am comparing it to Slumdog Millionaire which is the closest thing to perfection since Hanson’s sophmore CD. I can’t think of a single person that won’t love this movie. It even came close to breaking the all-time making me cry total with an impressive 6. Of course we all know that Love, Actually still holds the record with 27.
Kings of Leon: Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know I’m getting on the KoL train late, but my friend megan introduced me their song Use Somebody this weekend and it has pretty much been the soundtrack of the past three days. So has Katy Perry’s Thinking of You, do those two songs make me seem like an awful person?
Mario Kart on Wii: If I didn’t return your phone call or email this weekend, please blame this game. My wrists haven’t been this sore since high school. Wait….
That Ain’t Gay: Gradual Upgrade released their new video. The only problem is that it is so squeamish inducing that I can’t even put it on the blog. For some it will be what happens in the shower, for me it what happens on the toilet. Enjoy (in HD) at your own risk.
Friday Night Lights: I won’t go on about it for too long. But this season? Awesome. But would it kill them to acknowledge Jason Street?

Melanie Hernandez Clumpad: Never heard of her? What about her pseudonym Kyla? Still nothing? Well she is actually one of the biggest signers to come out of Manilla and this weekend, through a random series of events, I ended up at singing contest for Calgary area Philippinos and Kyla was the guest of honor. And let me tell you, there is nothing weirder than watching girls cry, children wave and guys swoon for someone who might as well be a complete stranger. The contest was GMA Pinor TV Singing Star Search Grand Finals and it was probably the most confusing thing I’ve been to in a long time.
Pulcinella: A great pizza joint in Calgary’s Kensington neighborhood. Great food, better company, good times.
So that was my weekend. What about you? Were you one of the millions of people that made Paul Blart: Mall Cop the #1 movie again? How did you sleep at night?
