I’ve been thinking about Calgary a lot lately.  It certainly isn’t the same city I moved to five years ago. It’s bigger, it’s better and yes, it’s even a little cooler.  Earlier this week I wrote my Metro column about how Downtown Calgary has gotten a little bit more awesome each and every year and I really meant it!

As it turns out, there is tons to do in the city, you may just have to look a little harder.  But why look, when you just have someone tell what you should be doing on your ever so precious weekends.  Enter Mark Hopkins. Known throughout the city as probably the most social person you’ll ever meet, he regularly hosts We Should Know Eacother parties, where he essentially invites dozens of people into his house for a unique networking and socializing experience.

So I asked Mark:  What are the three must things to do this weekend in the city? Here’s what he came up with! (But be warned, he’s already complaining: “It’s super hard to narrow down a list of 3 picks! So much awesomeness in Calgary…”  So you know these gotta be the best.

Every year, ACAD opens its doors for this fashion extravaganza, where models strut down the runway in some of the craziest outfits imaginable. It’s called “wearable art” for a reason, and you’ll be blown away by the imagination and creativity of these designers.
