The event 1 year in the making finally takes place monday night on How I Met Your Mother. Last year the show introduced the “The Slap Bet” and ever since that episode Neil Patrick Harris’ character Barney has been anxiously awaiting his slap smackdown courtesy of Marshall.
Marshall even took the liberty of creating a countdown clock which has been ticking down since the third season premiere in September.
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again. This show is one of the smartest comedies in a post Arrested Development world. Here is a handy montage to catch you up on the Slap Bet in preparation for tonight!
