For the love of all things Danger Bay, if I get one more email about Metric, I don’t know what I’m going to do. Â Okay, yes I’ll admit it. Â They are pretty freaking cool. Â Yes, I’ll also admit that I was late to the Metric train, but I’m all aboard now. Â I even went to see if they were going to be doing a Canadian tour. Â And it turns out they are doing something even cooler.
According to their blog:
“Jimmy and I just agreed to do a series of 5 private acoustic appearances in Western Canada at the end of the month (april) with support from some local radio stations (x.92.9-in calgary) in each of the cities we’re going to visit… but there is a twist. There won’t be any tickets sold for these shows. Originally, the only way to get in was going to be through radio station contests, but since we’re going to be passing through and we always want to take care of you guys, we decided to move the shows into slightly bigger venues, while still keeping it totally intimate, so we can give out some tickets directly to fans. There are very few tickets available, so click here to enter to win.”
They’ll also be giving away tickets people that pre-ordered their new album from their website.
