Finally, a non-Olympic post!
For those of you in Calgary on Friday night, who don’t feel like watching the Opening Ceremonies, do you want a suggestion on what to do?
Go watch The Great Bloomers! They are easily one of my favorite up and coming bands, and they are worth missing the silly opening ceremonies. (Just joking, they aren’t silly, I want tickets, I want tickets bad!!!)
I fell in strong-like with this band last summer when they played Virginfest and their CD has been on heavy rotation ever since!
The Great Bloomers will be playing at Broken City starting at 8pm. Tickets are only $12. Seriously. You can’t beat that. Plus two other great bands will be joining them, The Wooden Sky and The Rural Alberta Advantage!
