I bet this never would have happened on Harper’s watch, but the good folks at the Canadian government are having way too fun with Back To The Future day. They’ve just posted an official recall for DELOREAN DMC-12 model, the very one featured in Back To The Future II.
The recall reads:
“On a certain DMC-12 car converted into a time machine, a defect in the flux capacitor could lead to inability to travel through time while travelling at 88 miles per hour (141.6 km/h) and may increase energy consumption beyond 1.21 gigawatts. This could have disastrous consequences. Correction: Doc Brown will affect repairs.”
The movie is being fondly remembered today, since it was the day that was featured as “the future” in the movie!

Not to be outdone, Nike has introduced shoes that tie themselves, like the ones featured in the movie. The first person to try them? Michael J Fox.
Michael J. Fox models the first self-lacing Nike MAG.
