The time has come for me to break up with Boston Legal. The season’s first 6 episodes have been gathering dust on my Tivo since September and the time has come for me to say goodbye. A bald guy can only watch sooooo much TV right? I know, I am shocked too, but it’s time. The last week of my life has been crazy and I am literally working every day and night for the next 3 weeks (read it again if you have to), which means TIVO’s 80 hour limit is going to be pushed to the brink. It’s weird but I am almost thankful for the writers contract slowing the TV schedule down a little bit.
I don’t really know why I ever watched Boston Legal, it never really wowed me. I think in a way it reminded me of my old favs The Practice and Ally McBeal, but while James Spader is fun to watch the revolving door of cast members was always sooo annoying (only two members of the original cast members in the above picture remain). Plus would it kill David Kelly to write some characters that aren’t insanely with their quirks and nuances? Sigh, so with that I say goodbye to you Boston Legal. I might check you out again if you pull a big sweeps stunt, but unfortunately I just don’t see it working out for us.
