Usually people get all excited about Friday. Sometimes they even sit in the back of a car and sing about how much they love the last work day of the week. And usually I’m a giant fan of Fridays too but this week is a little different, this week everything is coming up Tuesday and if you ask me, this just might be the best Tuesday ever!
Three HUGE releases come out today and for you to fully grasp my excitement, I’m going to have to break it down for you:
Friday Night Lights on DVD. The fifth and sadly, final season of the football drama hits the shelves today. In a wonky deal, the season has already aired on Direct TV in the States and later this week premieres on NBC and Global. While I’m all about supporting shows when they air live, I simply can’t wait another second to find out what happens with Coach Taylor and the rest of the cast of the best show on TV. If you’ve still never seen an episode, all you need to know is this: I’m telling you to watch a football drama. Yes, it’s that good.
Tina Fey’s Bossypants. She’s a fake news anchor, a tv-star, a box office titan, a writer, a mom and now Tina Fey adds author to her list of things she is better at than you. I haven’t read a page of this autobiography, yet I don’t think I need to, to know that it’s already my most favouritist book of all time. Did I make up a word to just describe a book? Yes, yes I did. Also, I lied. The Jolly Postman is my favourite book but Bossypants will likely come in a really close second.
Jill Barber’s Mischievous Moon. I’ve never hidden my love of all things Jill Barber. To me her music is as simple and perfect as music should be. In the complicated world of Britneys, Mileys and Rebecca Blacks, Barber continues to make music that surrounds your entire environment with love, happiness and peace. If I sound over the top, it’s because I’ve been listening to her new album for the last few days and I can’t help but feel relaxed and joyful whenever I hear Barber’s pitch-perfect voice.
If you ever wondered what music to play the first time you have someone over for a date, I have two words for you: Jill Barber. Works every time.
If her music isn’t enough, make sure you follow the super cute Jill Barber on Twitter.
Great tremendous things here. I?¦m very satisfied to peer your post. Thanks so much and i’m looking ahead to touch you. Will you kindly drop me a mail?
