One of the things I love about Twitter is that regularly introduces me to hilarious people all over the country that I otherwise would not have met without the social media tool.

Case in tonight, thanks to the Canadian government’s decision to cut the CBC’s budget by a whopping 10% over the next three years, people have been taking to Twitter to express their outrage, in a rather hilarious way.  Using the hashtag #cbccuts, Tweeps have been coming up with clever spins on the names of famous CBC programs and how they would be modified, thanks to a reduced budget.

Here are some of my favourite of the night:

  1. Hello! This is my 1st comment here so I just wanted to give a quick shout out and say I really enjoy reading your blog posts. Can you recommend any other blogs/websites/forums that deal with the same subjects? Many thanks!

  2. The next time I read a blog, I hope that it doesnt disappoint me as much as this one. I mean, I know it was my choice to read, but I actually thought youd have something interesting to say. All I hear is a bunch of whining about something that you could fix if you werent too busy looking for attention.
