Let’s be honest, if we could afford to eat out every day, we all would. But we can’t and most of the time, we are relegated to eating Kraft Dinner and PG + J sandwiches. God I wish I was joking but I actually ate both of those things this week.
But for the next ten days, Calgarians will eat like kings thanks The Big Taste. The annual food festival is a foodie favourite because it gives us the chance to explore more than 65 restaurants with set menus that range from $15-$35.
I’m still trying to decide where I’m going to spend my not-really hard earned money but my mouth is already watering.  I’m absolutely eyeing up the menus of Blink, Bonterra and Olives!
One of the reasons that I’m so excited about The Big Taste is that it gives me the chance to eat at places I wouldn’t be able to afford even if I won the lottery! The River Cafe, Catch and Rush are normally too rich for my blood but now they are stuck to the cheap menus for then whole days, I’m definitely going to be sampling a dish or nine. Given how much rich people show, I’m just worried about fitting in.
The Big Taste runs from March 4th to March 14th.
