Whatever happened to shows like Are You Afraid of The Dark and Goosebumps? Those were great shows that still remind me of Halloween.  Well since we can’t have those, I guess this two spooking television selections will have to do!

Saturday: Red (Showcase)

Remember when Little Red Riding Hood was a nice little bedtime story?  Well apparently the people at Showcase remember it a little more scary. The Guild’s Felicia Day stars as Virginia “Red” Sullivan, the last descendant of the original Red Riding Hood in the new TV movie Red. The Vancouver-filmed feature is about  Police Detective Virginia and her family who have a long history of hunting werewolves, whose ancestors first stalked the original heroine.  Yeah not exactly how I remember it either.

Sunday: The Walking Dead (AMC)

I seriously don’t remember the last time I was THIS excited for a tv show.  I mean really, a whole series about a zombie invasion!  YES. PLEASE!  Besides seeing the trailer, I don’t really know about about the show except that it is about zombies, which means I don’t really need to know anything else.  While I’m not a fan of really scary movies, I am a fan of zombies and would regularly include Dawn of The Dead in my Top Ten favourite movies of all time list. Which, coincidently enough, AMC is playing right before the premiere.

Check out a review of The Walking Dead on The TV Addict.
