It’s a concert! It’s a fundraiser! It’s a party!
I’m so excited to be involved with a very cool event next week and I want you to come with me! U:Party for UEnd:Poverty will be taking place on Saturday, August 18th at Flames Central and will feature some of Calgary’s top artists as Calgary non-profit, UEnd:Foundation, raises serious funds (and the roof!) in their quest to end global extreme poverty.
I’m very lucky to be hosting the event that will feature Makeshift Innocence, Kris Demeanor, Jocelyn Alice w/ Lisa Jacobs and Trinity Bradshaw. All those artists for only $10! Seriously, it’s going to be a blast!
UEnd:Foundation is a local charity that I’ve known about for the past few years, Founded by Calgarian Jay Baydala, its aim is to enable every day Canadians to help eradicate global extreme poverty through their website uend.org. U:Party will raise much needed funds to help grow the organization, enhance the uend.org technology platform, increase education initiatives, and continue to end poverty in a lasting way. Since its inception, the foundation has raised almost one million dollars!
If you wanna buy tickets, head on over to:Â www.frendo.com/event/uparty.
I also have ten pairs of tickets to give away to you guys!
1) To enter, leave me a quick comment about which artist you’re most excited to see.
The contest closes on August 17th at 12:00 PM
Makeshift Innocence. You can listen to their music for hours. Oh yeah and anybody that can be given a guitar at age 15 (refering to their lead singer – Jesse-James Cameron) and can teach himself by listening to eagle records…how can you not be impressed
