Moment done.
Despite my best efforts, the best couch in Canada didn’t make it to the semi-finals of the Great Canadian Song Quest. Instead it lost out to fellow Alberta locations: Banff, Calgary, Drumheller Edmonton and Hoodoos/Badlands. I shudder to think what a song about Edmonton would song like. All of the nominees from each of the provinces are now posted on the CBC Radio 2 website and you can vote your favorites.
You can also vote who is going to write and perform the songs. Some of my favourite nominated singers include: Martha Wainright, Jimmy Rankin, Joel Plaskett, Hey Rosetta!, Hawksley Workman and New Brunswick’s David Myles.
