It’s been a week since wildfires swept through the city of Fort Mac and the world has noticed.
None other than Shaq, who posted this special video to the firefighters of Fort McMurray on his Facebook wall.
Of course Shaq isn’t the only celebrity to take notice.
Ryan Reynolds posted a plea for support the Red Cross after the fires.

And legend James Taylor will be donating the proceeds from his Alberta concerts to the recovery effort.

All the way from Newfoundland, Great Big Sea’s Alan Doyle is organizing a fundraiser too. Given the nature of the work in Fort McMurray, many of those who’ve been evacuated come from Canada’s east coast.
