On February 25th, Cineplex will honour the late Canadian filmmaker Rob Stewart. The theatre chain will be hosting special screenings of his unforgettable documentary Sharkwater.
If you’ve never seen the documentary, it will fundamentally change the way you think about sharks. Even though the movie is nearly 11 years old, the lessons it’s taught and the impression that it left, can still be felt. Stewart was actually Florida working on the follow-up, Sharkwater Extinction at the time of his passing.
Tickets to the special Sharkwater event can be purchased at Cineplex box offices.
While the event is free, theatres will be accepting donations with all proceeds going to WWF Canada.
The special screenings will take place at Cineplex theatres in the following cities: Vancouver, Victoria, Nanaimo, Calgary, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Toronto, Hamilton, Ottawa, Oakville, London, Windsor, Montreal, Halifax, Charlottetown, St. John’s
