There’s been lots of silly things coming out of Calgary’s city hall lately, but none perhaps more than the crackdown on…wait for it…tobogganing. Yup, it’s true. The city recently announced new rules that would sliding down some of Calgary’s best hills…wait for it again…illegal. At this point, I’m beginning to feel bad for kids. We tell them they’re not supposed to play violent video games, yet when they go out and get fresh air, they rules keep them having any fun at all. What are they supposed to do? Â I mean, there hasn’t been a good book since Harry Potter.
Anyway.
This week, Rick Mercer tackled the ridiculous topic on The Rick Mercer Report. This spoof is pretty funny, but I’m worried it might actually give the city of Calgary some ideas.
