For the past week or so, I’ve been enjoying the humidity and everything that comes with it (mosquitos) in the maritimes. It’s been a whirlwind adventure that allowed me to catch up with so many great friends and family in New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. I didn’t get to PEI and Newfoundland like I wanted to, but maybe next year.

This particular trip offered up some amazing moments that I was able to capture on camera and I wanted to share them with you. (That’s the advantage of having my name in the blog title.)

This post is for everyone who is from the maritimes and who miss them dearly and also, for those who’ve never been, but I think desperately need to.

Definitely a summer vacation to remember.

Peggy’s Cove from a different perspective.

Postcard perfect Peggy’s Cove.

One of my favourite shots from the Halifax Public Gardens.

This was at TreeGo just outside of Fredericton. It’s a fantastic ropes course that has become a bit of a family tradition.

Nothing beats a river cruise on the St. John River.

One of the reasons I went home, was to celebrate my parents’ 40th wedding anniversary. My granny and I went through her daughter’s photo album and she described that day with perfect detail.

We had an amazing up close and personal experience with a fin back whale, just outside of St. Andrew’s, New Brunswick.

No trip to NB is complete without a visit to the largest axe in the world.

Taking my sister’s dog for a walk.

My parents have a beautiful place on the St. John River, it offers up endless possibilities for photos.

Every night we were treated to beautifully unforgettable sunsets.
