Passchendaele wins big!

So the Canadian Oscars (The Genies) took place on Saturday night! Â To celebrate this year’s awards I decided to make a drinking came out of it. Â Every time I had never heard of one of the nomiees I would have a shot. Â

UnfortunatelyÂ I ended blasted by the end of the first category and eventually passed out. Â Assuming you missed them (really? Â an awards show on a Saturday night?) Â Here are the winners in the key awards!

Congrats to all the winners. Â Many of you never even got distrubution, hopefully these awards will change things for you.

Passchendaele, which as a total gross of 4.4 million (Canada’s highest) collected 6 Genies. While the tuburculosis drama The Necessities of Life collected 3 Genies. I figure if your movie actually played in the movie theatre, you are a lock for at least three awards.Â So I think it’s safe to assume that Joshua Jackson’s One Week will sweep next year’s awards.Â
