Previously on Meaghan Smith, on top of celebrating the release of her first studio release The Cricket’s Orchestra, the Ontario-born singer, also won the 2011 Juno for Best New Artist of the Year.

Now, on Meaghan Smith.   Meet the all new Meaghan Smith. Gone is the slow jams meant for the final scenes of Felicity or Dawson’s Creek. Now she’s equipped herself with an album full of fun pop music that already has gotten quite a bit of buzz on the radio.

The first single is Have a Heart and goddammit it’s catchy. Not “Let It Go” catchy, because that’s pretty much impossible, but after hearing it once, I fear it’ll be stuck in my head until I inevitably listen to “Let It Go” again..and again..and again.

Anyway, back to Meaghan Smith. Her new album comes out on April 22nd, BUT you can listen to the whole thing now. Three cheers for the internet!  While you’re at it, check out the super fun video for Have a Heart, I posted it above and it’s really great, so you better enjoy it!

Welcome back Meaghan, we missed you!

PS. Guys, remind me to tell you about the time I got Meaghan to sing “It Snowed” to me in the middle of a summer garden party.
