Things are about to change for Norglen.

The indie pop band will be starting a 16-city Spring tour tomorrow in Winnipeg and if they are coming to your area, you have my permission to go check them out.
Usually I’m wary of Canadian pop-rock, mostly because bands like Thriving Ivory make me jealous of those people with poor hearing.  But there is something different about Norglen that makes them worth your attention. I think it’s because, even though they have only been together for four years, their music is tight and is some of the most enjoyable pop-rock that we’ve heard in a while.  I like that their music is fun and different.  A band like this could easily fall into the cheesy melodramatic category, but thankfully they don’t!  After listening to their debut CD, I literally surprised myself by listening to again and then for a third time.  I don’t often do that for Canadian pop-rock.  Props go to the CDs producers that helped make a CD that is enjoyable from the first rack.
Their CD Long Way From The Truth is going to be released on May 24 but you can check out the video for their their newest single Miss You Yet below. (fun fact: It was also recently named one of the Top New Rock videos on Billboard.com)
Here are some of the tour dates for their Spring tour.  For a complete list, check out the Norglen website!
