Basically I’m just going to do a little free advertising for the Napa Valley, because I think it’s a must see. While there we went to
two different wine tastings and had a great time. One was at Bennett Lane and provided us with a private courtyard overlooking the actual grapes, while basking in the warm California sun. We drank seven different samples of wine and since I haven’t been DD since the age of fifteen, I may have indulged in a little bit more.
Afterwards we moved to the V. Sattui Vineyard. It was substantially more crowded but the results were the same. Great wine, great company. I even left with two wine bottles purchases to be enjoyed on the evening of my first night in my first house, or on opening night of a Veronica Mars movie. This is a big step for me, as I am usually a very loyal Fuzion drinker. But as I’ve learned, every wine drinker must eventually spread their wings….or was it pallet?
Either way, I had an amazing time in the Napa Valley, especially considering my only contextual history of the famous wine country was from Sex and The City: “When you are tired you take a napa, you don’t move to Napa.â€
On a semi-related note, you guys know about Fuzion Wine right? It’s life affirming. A great wine for under ten dollars that isn’t sold in your uncle’s basement. What more could you want?
