Most of us grew up watching Heritage Minutes, so much so, we could still could recite a lot of them of by heart! (Here’s a rundown of some of my favourite.)
Today, an 80th Heritage Minute was released and it commemorates the service and sacrifice of women on the front lines of the First World War through the retelling of a real event from May 1918. It is the story of two of the nearly 3,000 trained nurses who served overseas. It’s release coincides withe and National Nursing Week.
The poignant Heritage Minute was actually shot right here in Calgary by Stir Films. Take look and let me know what you think! I’m always trying to think about what would be the next great Heritage Moment…any suggestions?
