This week’s Metro column is about the newly revitalized downtown core.  For those who aren’t from around these parts, here’s a crash course:

Calgary’s downtown core has always been a source of debate. For born and raised Calgarians, who don’t know any different, they think it’s fine that a major city’s core empties out just before 6pm.  Others, mostly visitors, are always surprised when they book  room at downtown hotel and realize there is nothing to do within 5kms of where they are staying.

The city has always seemed a little confused what to do with the downtown area but since moving here six years ago, I’ve noticed that slowly and surely, it is getting cooler.  Nothing like Vancouver or Toronto’s but it is getting close.

I did however expertise a few technical issues using this site, since I experienced to reload the site a lot of times previous to I could get it to load properly. I had been wondering if your hosting is OK? Not that I’m complaining, but sluggish loading instances times will sometimes affect your placement in google and can damage your quality score if ads and marketing with Adwords. Well I’m adding this RSS to my e-mail and could look out for much more of your respective interesting content. Make sure you update this again soon..
