A lot of you probably don’t know this, but over the 18 months, I’ve suffered not one, but TWO separate stress fractures in my left foot. Seriously, how a blogger ends up with two sports injuries is beyond me! Besides having to wear a huge aircast for an obsene amount of time, it also means that I’m essentially destined to never be able to run again. This. Kills. Me.
But I’ve slowly adapted to my pedestrian life and now love exploring any city, one slow paced walk at a time.
However, sometimes in Calgary, a nice leisurely stroll actually isn’t that easy. You see, our pathways have been taken over by a bevy of things with wheels and it’s almost impossible to go for a walk without fear getting run over. Seriously, how old do I send right now?
In this week’s Metro column, (Remember it’s weekly and now on Fridays), I let out a little steam about possibly the most dangerous threat on any of our pathways: cyclists.
Oh I’m going to get hate mail for this one!
Click here to read my column and feel free to weigh in. I hope I’m not in the minority for this one!
