This week’s Metro column is about our Mayor Nenshi, more particularly, his announcement to run for Mayor again next year.

This, my friends, comes as a surprise to no-one. In a city where the municipal election happens every three years, one term is typically way too short, especially if you’re as well liked as Nenshi. Last year, he had the highest approval rating of any mayor in Canada.

So who would run against such an adored mayor? Well, probably no one. But I hope someone does. Maybe it’s because I watch too many movies, but I get nervous when someone is too well liked, because I think they can get away with more. I’m not sure if Nenshi is like that or maybe he is like that and he’s secretly planning a robot revolution. Who knows, why is exactly why we need someone to run against him.

And that’s what this week’s Metro column is about: if no one runs again Nenshi, what happens next??

  3. I actually wanted to develop a message so as to say thanks to you for some of the amazing recommendations you are giving out here. My rather long internet investigation has at the end of the day been rewarded with brilliant facts and techniques to share with my colleagues. I would claim that most of us visitors actually are very fortunate to be in a great network with many lovely professionals with valuable advice. I feel pretty privileged to have encountered the web pages and look forward to tons of more brilliant moments reading here. Thanks once again for all the details.

  4. There are certainly a lot of details like that to take into consideration. That is a great point to bring up. I offer the thoughts above as general inspiration but clearly there are questions like the one you bring up where the most important thing will be working in honest good faith. I don?t know if best practices have emerged around things like that, but I am sure that your job is clearly identified as a fair game. Both boys and girls feel the impact of just a moment’s pleasure, for the rest of their lives.
