Look, I don’t have kids, but when did naming babies become so complicated?  It’s something that’s always bothered me, but this week, the province of Alberta released a list of all the baby names used in 2011 and I was shocked.  Apparantly, last year, parents just went all willy nilly naming their children, with little consideration that,  someday, their offspring will actually have to survive first in school, then in the work world.

The names on the list are shocking, but I don’t want to spoil it for you. Check out this week’s Metro column to read why I think baby names might be the demise of our already fragile existence.

(Sorry, if your baby made the list.)
