Whether you live in Calgary or not, you may know that the city is currently in the midst of municipal election that will culminate in some exciting results on Monday.   I don’t know why I love elections so much, but my parents always took me to the polls with them when I was kid, so maybe it’s because I didn’t ever think that I could be apathetic towards voting.

But this week’s column is about those very people, because truthfully, I’m sometimes jealous of those people.  Oh the fun they must have been having while I was busy debating with people online, going to forums and reading through truly awful websites.

You can pick up the column at Metro boxes around Calgary or you can read it online.

The reception to the column has been amazing, at one point @mikesbloggity was trending in Canada and this morning, I joined the Kingkade and Kelly show to talk about it (Go to the Friday, October 18th 9:30am mark)!

Oh and one last thing, I’ll be joining Shaw TV’s commercial-free election coverage on Monday night. The fun starts at 7:30am.

  1. With havin so much written content do you ever run into any problems of plagorism or copyright violation? My blog has a lot of exclusive content I’ve either written myself or outsourced but it looks like a lot of it is popping it up all over the web without my authorization. Do you know any techniques to help reduce content from being stolen? I’d certainly appreciate it.
