There’s probably no better time to be a columnist than around an election. Every day, actually every hour really, there are new controversies, accusations and strategies and as someone who gets to write about them, I eat them up like they are deep fried McLobsters.
Here in Calgary, we’re just over two weeks away from a municipal election that has essentially turned into a battle of city council vs. home builders and it’s fascinating to watch!
This week’s Metro column, which is available online and in print, is about the series of forums that are currently taking place all over the city. While their attendance is never remarkable, I’ve been finding them fascinating and just one way to get to know the people that might someday be running our city, whether we want them to or not.
