This week’s Metro column takes a closer look at the those called diner-dives. Calgary is sort of going through a restaurant revolution, with so many new places opening with amazing food and yes, very expensive prices.

The idea came because I joined a supper club, and while I have an amazing time, I never know what I’m eating, so I usually just end up faking it.  Maybe it’s because I’m from the maritimes, but I don’t look for my dinner to be too complicated, I like traditional, hearty and affordable.

So what about you?  Do you prefer your meals to be made by Top Chefs or are you like me, and want your server to be smokin’ a cigarette while serving you your burger?
