Brian McKeever just told the Olympics to suck it.
Actually, he just won a gold medal at the Paralympic games, but I’m choosing to look at the symbolism of it all.
You’ll remember that McKeever was the the 30-year-old legally blind Paralympic cross country skier/biathlete from Canmore, Alta. He was supposed to be the first athlete ever to compete at both the Olympics and Paralympics. Unfortunately, his coaches changed their minds the day before he was to compete at the Olympics!
McKeever won the gold in the men’s 20-km freestyle visually impaired cross country race!
