So how was your Canada Day?
Maybe it was because of the Olympics, but didn’t everyone seem so much more patriotic this time around! Â It was a great site to see!
This year, I was lucky enough to celebrate our nation’s birthday in one of Canada’s most beautiful city’s Victoria, BC.
No, no, no I didn’t retire and start wearing dentures. Â This city is shocking cool with always a ton going on. Â We are here for two more days and I still don’t know how we are going to fit it all in!
We are staying at the Delta Victoria Ocean Pointe Resort and Spa during our trip and couldn’t be happier. Â Thanks to our harbour-view room, we had primo seats for the fireworks (the above picture of the big-show was taken from our room!) and the service is top-notch. Â Friendly but not intrusive, absolutely perfect for a relaxing vacation!
So blog posts will be a little delayed today, mostly because I’ll be either enjoying a harbour tour, eating my twelve bowl of seafood chowder or soaking in the sun. Â But I hope you too had a great Canada Day, I know I certainly did!
Don’t forget to wander down to Sam’s Deli on Government Street…the avocado sandwich is to die for.
