Just a few months ahead of the release of Nelly Furtado‘s first English album since 2006, the first single was leaked online today. The single is called “Big Hoops (Bigger The Better)†and you’ll have to tell me what you think, because I’m not too sure. Some parts are awesome and incredibly catchy, other parts her voice is almost piercing. But the song is being released just in time to make it a huge hit over the Summer, so let’s keep our fingers crossed for our little Canadian pop queen.
Right now, it’s only the audio that’s been released, Nelly is said to be working on the video. I’m just going to go ahead and assume that there are some big hoops involved.
Honestly, I didn’t know it had been so long since Nelly released her monster disc Loose, did you? That album was produced by Timbaland and made her a huge star across the world. It’s interesting that she took so much time off to make The Spirit Indestructible, so expectations will be high when it finally comes out in June! I’m also interested to see who will be showing up on the album, since, in the past, she’s collaborated with some pretty huge stars.
Could 2012 be the year of the Nelly?
