>I think you should sit down.

Now, assuming you are already sitting because you are most likely at a computer, I guess you should..um..sit down harder.

I have bad news.
And I’m not just talking about any old regular bad news like the economic downtown, this is worse.

This is bad.

Knowing was the number one movie at the box office this weekend.
We, as a continent, should lower our heads in shame.

Box Office Results:
#1. Knowing ($24.8 million)
#2. I Love You Man ($18 million)
#3. Duplicity ($14 million)

That’s right, even though we had a new Julia Roberts movie and the hilarious looking I Love You Man to choose from, the box office’s Sanjaya, Nicholas Cage still managed to pull it ahead.

I’m repulsed. Seriously, if you went to this movie you have to tell me why. I must know! Was it his hair plugs? Was it so you could see someone whose life was crummier than yours? Is your life so bankrupt of any emotion that you took solace in Nicholas Cage’s career? I don’t get it.

But I’m willing to take some of the blame. Even though I had the whole weekend off, I didn’t make it to the movies to show my support for either Duplicity or I Love You Man. I have learned my lesson and will hopefully never let this happen again.

On a happier note, Paul Blart: Mall Cop finally dropped out of the Top 10….after 10 weeks.
Actually, that didn’t make me feel any better.

I’m sorry North America.
