If you’ve found yourself thinking that you needed an excuse to go visit Toronto, I think I may have found one for you.
How about the one of the biggest musicals of all time?
When I got the email, I couldn’t believe it. I honestly thought I was still dreaming. Perhaps, a potential con of opening one’s emails as soon as you wake up.
But no, I wasn’t dreaming. Unless we’re ALL dreaming, but that feels like a different blog post!
Today, it was announced that the one and only Hamilton is coming to Toronto! Sure, it’s still like two years away, but that’s how long it would take to get a ticket in NYC city anyway, so it’s worth a shot. And if listening to Hamilton every day for the last year has taught me anyway, you always have to take a shot!

There still isn’t a lot of details, but we know that Hamilton will be a part of the 2019-20 Mirvish subscription season. It will be a limited engagement and lastly, I have to go. That is a fact! If 2020 seems to fair away, to put it in perspective, that’s also the year of the next US election. It’ll be here before you know it.  Hopefully.
The Hamilton run is just icing on the cake for musical fans like me, as Mirvish has put together quite a few amazing shows to delight theatregoers over the next couple of years including the return of Come From Away, which just opened on Broadways and is also awesome. Other shows include An American In Paris, Fun Home, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, Beautiful – The Carole King Musical and The Book of Mormon, just to name a few.
I can’t believe I’m finally going to be in the room where it happens. Hurry up, Hamilton!
