Live! has had many different names from Live! with Regis and Kathie Lee, Live! with Regis and Live! with Regis and Kelly to its current incarnation, Live! with Kelly. But one thing that has been a constant is the show’s executive producer Michael Gelman. Over the years, Gelman has become almost as famous the show’s hosts, which was apparent at Live! with Kelly’s recent tapings when he got the same thunderous applause that Kelly Ripa did.
When Gelman decided to bring the show to Banff, he knew it would have some challenges, so after the four tapings were done, I got to sit down with him backstage and talk about the show’s surprises and what Canadian city might be the next to get a visit from Kelly and her show.
