I haven’t mentioned much about the whole Jian thing, because, I like so many Canadians, don’t know what to say. I’m sad that so many people lived in fear, while we as a country idolized him. That must have made them feel terribly alone. And then there’s also dealing with the fact that someone that we thought we could trust, someone we thought we know turned out to be completely different.
Lots of people have been weighing in on the subject. Some are dead on, others seem to pander a bit. But that’s okay, no one really knows what to say, so everyone is entitled to say what they gotta say. It seems like a lot of people have been holding on to things for a long time.
One of my favourite posts has come from Ed The Sock.
Remember him? That funny sock from MuchMusic.  Well, he’s actually comedian Steven Kerzner and since his time on Much, he’s maintained a strong presence in the media and online with a podcast and radio show.  With so many people saying so many things, I’m glad his message is rising to the top. It’s an important one for all of us to remember.
