This weekend, Calgary comes alive with the colour of the rainbow. It’s been a historical year for LGTBQ Albertans, which makes this weekend’s 25th anniversary even more important.
Twenty five years ago, the parade’s first organizers had to wear masks to protect to their identity, flashforward two and a half long decades and the city seems ready to embrace Pride like never before. While the weather doesn’t look like it’ll be amazing, that hasn’t stopped thousands of people from getting ready for this weekend’s big celebration. Among those people are some of the city’s biggest companies and organizations, who have wasted no time celebrating equality on their social media accounts!
