Hopefully by now, you know my best Pal, Kait Kucy.

She has an amazing blog called the Archives of Cool, and that’s exactly what she is. She is a genuine cool person, who has her finger on the pulse of what’s new, cool, trendy, and basically what you should be listening to along the way.

Kait and I have been best pals for almost ten years.  In a different lifetime, I was actually her student advisor at the University of Calgary, before we both decided to uproot our careers and move them online. Since then, we’ve spent many a day sipping wine on patios, creating conferences together and hosting parties.  Not to mention all the many adventures we’ve gone on together with her adorable son, Jack.

Over the past couple of years, the idea of celebrating PALentine’s Day on February 13th has been growing, and I just wanted you all to know that Kait Kucy and I are here for it!

Why wouldn’t you take a day to celebrate the first person you call when you have questions, including everything from “What am I doing with my life?” to “What was that basketball show on after Saved by the Bell?”. It was Hang Time, Kait. It was Hang Time.

So this PALentine’s Day, Kait and I are partnering with Cadbury to celebrate the all-new Cadbury Dairy Milk Oreo bar. After all, what goes together better than Cadbury Dairy Milk and Oreo â€“ it’s definitely as good as you think it is!

Who’s your best Pal?  Celebrate them by heading to palentinesday.ca and customize a PALentine’s Day pallad for you and your pal.

Get it, PALLAD. Instead of BALLAD.

What are best pals for if you can’t laugh at a cheesy joke.  On the site, in just a few clicks, you can create a custom song and send it to your pal. It’s a fun way of celebrating a best friend that’s always there for you, without ruining your friendship by actually singing to them.

I’d love to hear who your best Pal is and how you’ll be celebrating them on February 13th!
