Alan Doyle (ie: lead singer of Great Big Sea) has been cast to play one of Robin Hood’s merry men in the upcoming adaptation of…well…of Robin Hood. Natch.
The movie is being directed by Ridley Scott and stars his bitch, muse, favorite Russel “I’m just big boned” Crowe. Apparently Crowe and Doyle have been friends since Russell filmed Cinderella Man in Toronto a couple of years ago and have even collaborated on some songs….
I’ve decided to publicly announce that I would pay large sums of money to see these two play some celtic songs together!
