I love Vancouver.
I’m never leaving.
Actually, that’s a lie. I’m leaving in a couple of hours. But still all love.
One of the reasons I love Vancouver is because all of the cool people that live here. Take Tuesday for example, I got to hang out with Grant Lawrence and be apart of his show on CBC Radio 3. I wasn’t actually expecting to go on air, but we ended up doing it anyway. This week, his show is outside and it was a lot of fun. We talked about looooooooooong Olympic line ups and some of the shows we were both trying to see.
I’m trying to find out how you can hear it online, but so far no luck.
What was awesome, was that after me, Grant talked to a great artist named Shotgun Jimmie. Coincidentally, he is also from New Brunswick, Sackville to be exact. He is on tour across Canada and seems to be doing quite well for themselves.
I wish I had more information, but they were telling me about this ‘word of mouth’ program that Via Rail has. Basically they’ll pay for you to travel across Canada, as long as you do shows on their trains. I don’t know much about it, but I know it exists, so if you are an artists, track that program down and do it.
Thanks for the great time CBC Radio 3. They are making the idea of moving, easier and easier!
