This just came across my email and it requires me to share immediately. Why? Because it’s about free food, duh!
Calgary’s JACK FM has purchased a truck load of real Taber sweet corn!!! (Can I say that I appreciate the clarification that it is indeed “real” corn!) And they will be giving it away FREE tomorrow morning (August 26) at CanaDream RV on 2510-27 Street N.E just off Sunridge Blvd in the NE (while supplies last.)
Morning Show Hosts Matt & Eric (who I have never had the pleasure of meeting) will be broadcasting live from 5:30 – 9:00am at CanaDream RV as part of this big giveaway. Apparently, last year the gave away 2,400 cobs in about an hour. That is a LOT of dental floss. There is also going to be a corn shucking contest at 7:45am to win AC/DC tickets to the SOLD OUT concert that night. And to clarify, corn shucking is completely different than what it sounds like. You will not will the contest if you do the other thing…I asked.
So if you like free food and don’t mind getting up at 5am to get it, it sounds like JACK FM has you covered.
